Bristol and Continental celebrateGreat value Bristol airport parking
Continental Airlines celebrated their 250,000th passenger on the Bristol - New York service last week.
Lucky passenger Katherine Bronander from New Jersey received a free upgrade to BusinessFirst class for being the 250,000th person to fly between Newark and Bristol.
The service has been running for three years and operates daily, non-stop flights between the two cities with a Boeing 757-200.
Paul Kehoe, Chief Executive of Bristol International Airport, said:
For three years Continental Airlines has provided a vital connection between the South West and New York, and the North American continent as a whole. Hundreds of thousands of travellers from this region have enjoyed the sights and experiences of the USA, and large and small companies have been better able to trade with the worlds most powerful economy.
At the same time, American visitors have enjoyed Bristol Internationals proximity to some of the UKs major tourist attractions, and business travellers have been able to avoid the congested London airports, cutting out unnecessary journeys from the capital by road and rail..."
Continental's BusinessFirst service features extra-wide reclining electronic sleeper seats with adjustable winged headrests; an award-winning wine and champagne selection; and Audio/Video on Demand (AVOD) providing a choice of films, programmes and music.
The worlds fifth largest airline, Continental offers more than 230 destinations across the Americas from Newark Liberty International Airport.
Passengers flying from Bristol International Airport can pre-book great value airport parking at Bristol Silver Zone car park, with free transfers to the terminal operating every 20 minutes throughout the day.
