Dining

A favourite for travellers, the Runway Brasserie offers internationally-inspired fine dining at affordable prices. Help yourself to spicy Mexican nachos with salsa, guacamole, soured cream and jalapeno peppers; pan-fried haloumi, roasted garlic and rosemary; or a triple-decker club sandwich for a quick treat, each for less than £11. If you have time for a full meal, you could have a clear chicken consommé with a savoy cabbage dumpling and brunoises of seasonal vegetables for £5.95, then move on to beer-battered haddock with hand-cut chips and mushy peas or a thai green curry, jasmine rice and naan bread, either for £12.95. Alternatively, try a 7oz ground beef burger with bacon and Monterey Jack cheese or a 21-day aged Derbyshire beef steak. Desserts include classics like creme brulee, or more unique treats such as warm Valrhona chocolate fondant pudding, maple and walnut ice cream or pear and golden raisin crumble with Madagascan vanilla bean custard.
The Brasserie opens from 6pm until 11pm every evening.
For drinks "The Bar" serves as a cafe during the day and a bar at night, with hot drinks and light snacks, as well as a large range of wines and cocktails.
The bar opens at 8am and stays open until late into the night.
