Restaurants at The Gatwick Courtyard by Marriott
A feast for the eyes
The Volare restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner, and offers a choice of buffet or a la carte dining. Start the day right with a wide range of hot or cold breakfast options, or end it over a glass of wine and the Courtyard's legendary burger, or the most generous portion of butternut squash risotto we've ever seen! The Courtyard also serves bar food through the day, room service from noon until 10pm and there's even an on-site shop to pick up snacks and soft drinks out of restaurant hours.

Breakfast
Keep it light with baked rolls, croissants and muffins with jam or honey, cereals, yoghurts and cooked deli meats; or go for the full English breakfast selection with bacon, sausages, beans, mushrooms, black pudding, rosti and eggs cooked to order - all for £14.95. If that doesnt satisfy your appetite, extra items, including Eggs Benedict, waffles with bacon, salmon or poached haddock, can be added to order for £5 each. However, the deal's even better for kids: each child who dines with an adult gets to eat breakfast for free.
Dinner
For dinner, most guests choose to order from the a la carte menu, which includes a choice of grills (juicy steaks, sticky ribs, spicy chicken or classic burgers); light bites including paté, soup, savoury tart and oriental starters; and more-substantial main courses, including hand-battered fish and chips, traditional beef and ale pie, and the extremely-generous portion of butternut squash risotto we mentioned above. Wash it all down with one of a dozen wines from around the world several are available by the glass, if you dont want a whole bottle.
If youre struggling to choose between so many delicious options, try the international buffet, which offers a range of soups, salads and hot dishes with a mediterranean feel. The selection changes nightly, and the buffet option means you can have just a nibble of whatever you fancy for a set price!
Volare has plenty to satisfy the sweet-toothed, too: try the home-made vanilla pod ice cream with a warm berry sauce, or the dark chocolate panna cotta. If youre not a big fan of the sweet stuff, you can have a delicious cheese plate.
Kids eat free
A child under the age of six can eat free with a paying adult (two adults and two children per group max). Theres a special kid's menu for families dining a la carte; or you can both eat from the buffet at no extra charge.
Other options
If youd like to eat outside the restaurant's opening hours, or just want a quick bite before you jet off, the lounge bar beneath the atrium is open from 10am to 11.30pm and offers a range of sandwiches, burgers, pizza and pasta priced between £4 and £12. This is also a great place to have a coffee or tea in the daytime, or to grab a pre-dinner drink before heading to Volare.
The Courtyard also offers a room service menu (noon to 10pm only), including sandwiches, steaks, burgers and pizza, and an on-site shop open 24/7.
