Can I book disabled accessible seats in the theatre?
Unfortunately, we are unable to sell assisted performance tickets: these are only available directly from the theatre.
Can I buy a gift voucher?
We do not currently offer gift vouchers.
Can I give my tickets to someone else if I need to cancel?
If you are unable to go on your theatre break, you can easily let someone else go in your place. Just give us a call on 0800 0832 841 at least 3 days before the start date of your stay, and we will change the lead name on your booking.
When should I receive my booking confirmation?
You should receive your booking confirmation via email within 24 hours of making your booking.
I am unable to print my confirmation. Can it be mailed to me?
Simply give us a call on 0800 0832 841 and we can arrange for your confirmation to be posted to you.
I do not have an email address. How will I receive my confirmation?

Can you resend my booking confirmation?
We certainly can. Just call us on 0800 0832 841 and we will get your booking confirmation sent over to you again.
I have not received my booking confirmation. What should I do?
Your booking confirmation may take up to 24 hours to land in your inbox. If after this time you still have not received your booking confirmation, please call us on 0800 0832 841 and we will resend it to you.
Will you post me my tickets?
You can opt to pay to have your theatre tickets posted to you. Please allow 14 days for your tickets to arrive; if your tickets haven't arrived 10 days prior to your stay, please contact us on 0800 0832 841. Otherwise, simply present your booking confirmation at the Box Office to collect your tickets.
How do I get my theatre tickets?
Simply print out your booking confirmation which will be sent to you via email and present it at the Box Office. If you cannot print your confirmation, call us on 0800 0832 841 and we will arrange for it to be posted to you. Alternatively, you can opt to pay to have your theatre tickets posted directly to you.
Can I book a theatre break in someone else's name?
Yes, you can. To book a theatre break on someone else's behalf just make the booking in their name. If the booking is a surprise gift, make sure to use your own email address and not theirs.
I can't or don't want to book online. Are the prices the same if I book through your call centre's Customer Experience Team?
Our prices are the same whether you book over the phone or via our website. Please be aware that we work on a live system so our prices may change. To book your theatre break over the phone, call us on 0800 0832 841 and a member of our Customer Experience Team will be happy to help.
Do I pay in GBP Pounds Sterling (£)?
Yes, all payments are taken in GPB pounds sterling (£). If you are making a purchase from abroad using a foreign card, the exchange rate will be set by your card issuer and will determine the final price in the local currency. Holiday Extras Breaks uses the merchant ID "HX SHORT BREAKS". This will appear on your bank account statement alongside the final amount of your booking.
Can I pay with a cheque?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept payments by cheque.
Can I have a VAT invoice after making my booking?
Due to HM Revenues & Customs policy regarding packaged travel, we cannot issue VAT invoices to our customers.
Is it possible to pay a deposit when booking?
We cannot take part-payments or deposits. To secure your booking, we require full payment at the time of booking.
I have just returned from my theatre break, how do I make a complaint?
To make a complaint about your London theatre break, please email us on email@example.com. Our Customer Care Team will respond to you directly after investigating your complaint.
Can I cancel my booking once confirmed?
All of our theatre break packages are non-cancellable and non-refundable.

Can I amend the name on my booking?
You can amend the names on your booking up until 3 days before the start of your theatre break. Simply call our Customer Experience Team on 0800 0832 841 and they will make the change for you.
What is the biggest group size I can book?
You can book up to a maximum of 6 guests / tickets per booking via our website. For larger groups, please call our Customer Experience Team on 0800 0832 841.
Can I book ticket only with you?
Unfortunately, as we specialise in London theatre breaks we only sell packages and do not offer ticket only options.
The cast member I expected to see did not appear in the show, can I have a refund?
We know that seeing a celebrity or a specific cast member can be a big attraction, however we cannot guarantee their appearance. We cannot be held liable if a particular cast member does not appear in the performance, and cannot offer any compensation.
How far is the theatre from the hotel?
The distance between the theatre and the hotel will depend on which show and hotel you choose. This will be displayed at the hotel availability stage during the booking process and also on your confirmation email
Can I see a show on a Sunday?
Not all West End shows hold performances on Sundays. The times for each show are detailed on the show's own page on our website.
Do you sell family theatre breaks?
We do sell family theatre breaks, however some shows have age restriction policies and do not admit children under 5 years old. Please call us on 0800 0832 841 and we'll check the admittance policy for your chosen show.
Am I buying theatre tickets from a reputable source?
Our theatre tickets are supplied through Encore Tickets, a London-based ticketing agent. Encore are fully registered and compliant with STAR (Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers).
What is the minimum age for children?
The minimum age will depend on the show you have chosen. Many do not admit children under the age of 5 years old. Please call us on 0800 0832 841 and we will check the admittance policy for your chosen show. Theatre tickets remain the same price regardless of age.

Is it possible to upgrade my hotel room?
To arrange a room upgrade, please speak to the hotel directly. Any additional payments would need to be paid directly to the hotel, either at the time of check in or check out depending on the hotel's policy.
What do I need to check into the hotel?
Checking in to the hotel couldn't be simpler: just print your booking confirmation and present it to the hotel when checking in.
What time is my hotel check-in?
Your check in time will depend on the hotel you have booked. This will be detailed on your booking confirmation, as well as on the hotel's page on our website.
Can I book a twin room instead of a double room?
It is possible to book twin rooms at most of our hotels. Simply change your selection from double room to twin room during the booking process. If you have booked and want to change your room type please call us on 0800 0832 841 and we will do our best to request this with the hotel.
Am I able to book for more than five nights?
As we specialise in short breaks, the maximum duration we are currently able to book is five nights.
Is it possible to book a room for four people but only two tickets for the show?
As our hotel and tickets are all sold as part of a package, the number of hotel guests and tickets must be the same.
Can I stay at the hotel the night before the show?
Yes you can. Simply select your show date, then you can pick your check in and check out dates to whenever suits you during the booking process.
Which hotel is included in the lead price for each show?
The lead price displayed is calculated based on the cheapest ticket and cheapest hotel applicable to your search. This may vary depending on the dates you have chosen. The cheapest hotel used for this lead price will be the first on the list when choosing your hotel.
Is breakfast at the hotel included in the package?
Yes, all of our theatre break packages include breakfast. The type of breakfast will depend on the hotel; this will be stated in the hotel information on the website.
Can an extra night be added after the break is all booked?
It may be possible to add an extra night (or nights) depending on the hotel's availability, and providing your break hasn't exceeded the five night maximum. Please call our Customer Experience Team on 0800 0832 841 who will look in to this for you.
Why does the hotel not have my booking on their system?
We are not linked to the hotel's reservations system, and as such our booking are manually inputted. Our bookings are sent over at set times, so if you call the hotel directly they may not have your booking loaded as yet. This does not mean it does not exist; all of our rooms are reserved in advance. If you have any questions about your reservation it is best to call us on 0800 0832 841 rather than contacting the hotel directly.
I have an existing booking; is it possible to add rail tickets?
Unfortunately, rail tickets can only be added at the time of booking your theatre break.
I have not received my rail tickets. What should I do?
Please call us on 0800 0832 841 at least 5 days before your stay date and we will look into this for you. If you opt to pay for your rail tickets to be sent Royal Mail Special Delivery, we can arrange for these to be tracked. If you did not opt for this postal option, we cannot replace or refund any rail tickets that do not arrive.
Are rail tickets included in my package?
Train tickets are not automatically included in your package but can be added on for an additional fee.
Are the rail tickets return?
Yes, all rail tickets are valid for standard return travel. Your tickets are open return, valid for two months after the date of your booked outbound journey. Your train tickets are not valid on the London Underground or the high speed services.
I booked my return rail ticket with my package. Can I book the seats on the train?
Seats are not allocated with our rail tickets. To book your seats, contact your local station once you have made your booking.
Can I upgrade my train tickets to first class tickets?
All of our train tickets are for standard rail travel.
Can I park at or near the hotel?
Parking is not included in the cost of your break. Parking availability varies depending on the hotel you have chosen; the closest car park to each hotel is listed on the hotel's own page on our website. If you choose to drive to London, please remember you may need to pay the Congestion Charge. A map of the Congestion Charge zone is available on the Transport for London website.
I'm meeting a friend for a theatre break in London. Can we book rail from different departure points in the same booking?
This is not possible. For rail travel booked with your theatre break, all members of your party must travel together.
Do rail tickets include access to the London Underground (tube)?
Our rail tickets do not include access to the London Underground; they are only valid for overground return travel to main London stations.
Do you offer coach travel with your packages?
We do not currently offer coach travel with our theatre breaks.
How do I receive rail tickets?
Your rail tickets will be posted to the address provided when booking. We recommend opting to pay for Royal Mail's Special Delivery option. If you opt to pay for your rail tickets to be sent Royal Mail Special Delivery, we can arrange for these to be tracked. If you did not opt for this postal option, we cannot replace or refund any rail tickets that do not arrive.
What is the nearest underground station to the show?
The nearest Underground station will depend on which show you are seeing. The closest Underground station to your selected show will be detailed on the show's own page on the website.
Is there a specific rail route I must use? What route do I have to use on the train?
Train tickets are not valid on the London Underground or high speed services.
Am I booked on a train at a specific time?
Our train tickets do not tie you to travelling on a specific train, meaning you can choose any train on your booked route.
Where can I find out train times?
Train times can be found on the National Rail website.
Why is the return date on my rail ticket the same as the outbound?
The rail tickets we sell are for open return travel, valid for two months from the departure date. Therefore, only the departure date will be printed on both your outbound and return tickets.
Are my tickets valid on the high speed rail?
Your tickets are not valid on the high speed rail services unless otherwise state in the terms and conditions. You can upgrade to include the high speed services by purchasing an additional ticket at the station's ticket office.
Can I also travel on the London Underground with my rail ticket?
Your rail ticket does not allow you to travel on the London Underground. Travelcards for the Underground must be purchased separately.
Is the rail ticket return?
Yes, your rail ticket is valid for return travel between your departure station and Central London overground train stations.
How much is a ticket for the Underground?
Prices for Underground tickets vary depending on your journey. We'd recommend purchasing a multi-day travelcard which is valid for unlimited Underground journeys for the duration of your theatre break.
Do I have to pay the Congestion Charge when driving in London?
You must pay the Congestion Charge when driving in the Congestion Charge zone between 07:00 and 18:00 from Monday - Friday. A map of the Congestion Charge zone is available on the Transport for London website.
How do I pay for the Congestion Charge before I travel?
You can pay the Congestion Charge up to 90 days in advance or on the day of travel. You can also pay before midnight on the day after driving in the Congestion Charge zone, but the fee rises from £10 to £12. The Congestion Charge can be paid online by registering on the Transport for London website. Once you've registered you can pay the charge via telephone, post, at a shop displaying the Congestion Charge logo, or by text on the day of travel.
