Cheapest Airport Hotel Deals

Beneath the surface of the Ibis Gatwick lurks more a touch of familial warmth. If you arrive too late for dinner, there’s a 24-hour snack menu in the bar; then there’s an all-you-can-eat continental breakfast in the morning from 4am. It’s all rather like going to stay with your aunt who tries to feed you up at all times of the day. You can even take your pets, which might be just as well - a spot of dog-walking will probably be in order after all those croissants.

More Information

For a comfy, practical hotel that's easy on your pocket, and still less than 10 minutes from the airport, the Ibis is the ideal choice. It's simple but welcoming and reliable, running round the clock with first-class service and a 15-minute satisfaction guarantee - pretty good for a 2-star hotel!

Check-in is from 12:00, so it's ideal if you'd like to beat the traffic and find that holiday mood a few hours earlier.

Whatever the time of day, the Ibis serves tasty snacks to fill a small hole and light meals to savour. The restaurant and bar are open 24-hours a day, alcohol served until midnight. So whether it's 3 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon, you and your stomach will be well taken care of. And, you can relax and know that all of them are reasonably priced. You'll find British classics like fish and chips and fisherman's pie, as well as a well-stocked bar full of your favourite beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks.

Stay connected throughout the hotel with free wifi. In fact, it's one of the few hotels at Gatwick that won't charge you a penny extra for internet access.

When you're fed and ready for bed, jump under the cosy covers. The rooms are basic but practical, each with an en-suite bathroom, a flatscreen TV with Freeview, hairdryer and all you need to make tea and coffee.

And just in case you don't get exactly what you're expecting, the Ibis' 15-minute guarantee ensures that the problem is fixed immediately. It's a hotel that takes customer service seriously.

For something a little novelty, the Ibis offers a free Sleep Art app for iPhones. Place your phone under your pillow and it'll transform your movement and sound while you're asleep into a piece of digital artwork. The Ibis sets itself apart from other budget hotels with quirky and fun extras like this.

Wake up on the right side of the bed with a delicious breakfast. You'll find English and continental favourites, like eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, fruit, yoghurt and croissants. Breakfast is even served as early as 04:00 until 10:00 on weekdays, and 04:00 to 12:00 on weekends. It's ideal if you're catching an early flight and don't want to travel on an empty stomach.

Then it's just a quick transfer to the airport. The hotel's transfer minibus runs half-hourly from 04:00 to 10:30 and from 17:00 to 23:30. It costs £3 per person and takes about 10 minutes. If you need to transfer outside of these hours, bus 100 leaves from London Road, close to the hotel, and runs every 20 minutes. For a single transfer, it's just £2.10 for adults and £1.05 for children.
