Travellers flying from Glasgow airport this winter will have a range of new ski and winter sun destinations to choose from.
Crystal Ski is offering flights to Turin every Sunday from December 28th to March 29th, with links to top European ski resorts including Courmayeur and Sestriere. The French Alps will be easily accessible with ski specialist Neilson's Christmas and Easter flights to Grenoble. Budget airline easyJet is also adding an extra winter flight to Geneva, gateway to the ski resorts of Switzerland.
New flights to Egypt and Gambia in Africa and the Caribbean's Dominican Republic will please sun-starved Brits dreaming of some winter sunshine. In November, low cost airline flyglobespan launched a weekly flight to Hurghada in Egypt, and Thomas Cook started offering weekly flights to Gambia. Thomson Holidays begins a new winter service to La Romana in the Dominican Republic on 28 December.
"Increasing numbers of Scots are choosing to get away in winter. With new ski and sun flights to Europe's best ski resorts, and exotic hotspots in Africa and the Caribbean, the choice this year is greater than ever," said a spokesperson for Glasgow airport.
