If you're hungry, just choose one of the freshly-prepared dishes from the bistro menu. Then sit back and enjoy whatever takes your fancy - a spa treatment, a glass of champagne, a board game, a film or a game of pool. There's a family room for enjoying some quality time in, and a 'Snug' room, where weary travellers can get a bit of downtime. If you're in need of a cat nap, there are even bedrooms that you can book separately. There's probably more to do here than in your own home. Children of all ages are welcome at No.1 Lounge at Heathrow. Children 12 and over are classed as adults and will need to pay the adult price. If a child 12 or over is booked in as a child by mistake, the lounge reserves the right to charge the difference in price when you arrive.
The lounge has a smart-casual dress code and may refuse entry to customers not wearing suitable clothing. Tailored shorts are allowed, but the lounge suggests you do not wear sports clothing, camouflage patterns, clothing with offensive slogans or that exposes midriffs or shoulders. Hen and stag do themed clothing is not permitted.
Food and drink
If there's one drawing point of the No. 1 lounges, it's the care and time taken with their food. You'll find plenty of freshly-prepared snacks, such as soups, fruit and salads, which you're welcome to help yourself to free of charge.
If you fancy something a little bit more substantial, you can enjoy a free hot snack from the delicious bistro-style menu. It offers a range of tasty breakfast dishes and a variety of sandwiches and wraps, depending on the time of day. These are limited to one per customer, but extra dishes cost just £4 each if you fancy a little more to eat.
A range of drinks are also available at no charge - including soft drinks, teas, coffees, juices, beers and spirits. Champagne, Prosecco and cocktails can be bought from the bar for an extra charge.
The No 1 lounge has its own travel spa on site, offering a range of treatments for an additional fee. These are tailored to the amount of time you have available. 15-minute treatments cover a selection of focused massages, a quick manicure or a wax for £15 to £20. Longer treatments start from £25 and include more-intensive massage or nail therapy.
There's a children's area with beanbags and kids' TV, a mini cinema, where you can watch a range of family-friendly films, and a games room with a pool table. There are also board games, books, international daily newspapers and magazines and TVs showing news and entertainment, as well as a soundproofed TV room.
If you want to use the internet, you can do so on the lounge's computers or on your own laptop, thanks to the free WiFi access. Or just sit back and watch the planes - the lounge has panoramic views of the runway.
