I mistakenly followed a link after booking something else for this trip, thinking it was with Bristol airport direct,as I've done previously, and I think it would have been cheaper.
Also my ticket issued on arrival said I would need to pay at station which asked for £95. Your booking was not logged on the airport's system! Fortunately staff at the barriers were soon able to validate.

My son and I have parked our cars at Bristol airport but both our tickets are
marked ' payment required'?
As we are returning late on Friday evening, can you confirm that this is not the case and we simply present our tickets for the barriers to open and allow us to get home ASAP?

As yet I am still waiting for a response from you but as feared on our return last night the barriers failed to open for either my son or myself?
It was made worse by the fact that we had an horrendous flight due to the awful weather and on late arrival the wind was howling and the rain was lashing down. The party consisted of myself and my wife, my son and his wife together with three small children.
The barrier at the car park failed to open and we went in search of the site office where a pleasant gentleman did whatever was required to enable the ticket to open the barrier but by this time we were both soaking wet with a two hour car journey to follow.
Incidentally, a lady waiting behind us was also in the same position.
I have always used Holiday Extras to book and pay for my airport parking, usually at Cardiff Airport, this si the first time things have gone wrong and I would welcome your comments on the situation?

Car park is a complete shambles with roads closed & very little signage.When I tried to exit barrier said I needed to pay.Not a good experience.

We entered the airport as directed and found the signage for the various car parks very good. We got our ticket at the barrier and found a space...tip, take a photo on your mobile of your bay, we always do... it felt like a bit of a walk to the terminal building, but it was dark and raining. On our return we found the car a day excited the airport quickly and with ease.

This long stay car park is opposite the main airport terminal so you don't have to wait for a transfer bus if you don't want to. It also operates a number plate recognition system so you don't have to hand your keys in or queue up for them on return.

Really nice and convenient car park to use. Easy entry with number plate recognition. Found a space after a few mins which is nicely labelled to make finding your car on return much easier. From there it was just a short walk to the airport just opposite - obviously this could be a bit longer if you're parked in the spaces further away. Just remember to keep the card issued on entry somewhere you'll easily remember for your exit!

Did not recognise registration plate. Had to go to the help point. Person there found my reservation but no number plate provide from holiday extras. Very frustrating as know I entered it, it was aboutpm at night, very cold -1oC and we had a 1.5hr journey ahead.

found that everything ran smoothly, just a 5 minute walk to terminal although the option of shuttle bus was available. was concerned that we were about minutes later than I stated returning but it wasn't a problem and we would be happy to use this service next time.

This is the the third time in the last three months we have used this car park. All was very easy and smooth only quibble is that on two earlier occasions the car park was very congested with cars parked in undesigned spots

Looks like car park is having work done at the moment. No one knew what arrows to follow and the car park was so busy that some people weren't even parked in designated spaces. We eventually found a space at the bottom corner of the car park. The barrier in and out was fine and great location (you can walk, don't have to get the bus), but at the moment it is a little confusing. We will be using it again this week so will see and comment if any better.

Car park was chaotic arrows directed you down dead ends and then had to reverse out as no room to turn. Not helped by cars seemingly abandoned anywhere and little lighting.

The confirmation paperwork wasn't very clear that all we had to do was collect the ticket from the machine at the entrance and then drive to the exit on departure. I was a bit unsure on leaving if there was something else I should have done!
