London Gatwick Airport has announced details of new flights to Norway to be run by the airline Norwegian.
Norwegian, which already operates a programme of flights from Gatwick, is to begin operating a thrice-daily service to Oslo, twice-daily flights to Copenhagen, and daily services to Bergen, Stavanger and Aalborg. Flights to Tromso will also operate on a twice-weekly basis.
"It is fantastic news that Norwegian has chosen to move its operations to London Gatwick Airport," says Mike Luddy, commercial director of London Gatwick Airport. "This strengthens our growing route network to the Nordic region and provides our customers with yet more choice from London Gatwick. We look forward to welcoming passengers of Norwegian on their programme which is operating almost 60 flights a week."
The new schedule of flights will be operating from the end of March 2009.
