"I would have to go for Canoga Park in the San Fernando Valley, specifically because it is the home of Scotland Yard - the greatest bar in the world. Any day that there's a live football match on, they open the bar at seven in the morning and the pizzeria next door opens as well!
"If you mention my name at the bar you may even get a free pint..."
Set in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, Canoga Park was originally inhabited by native Americans and is thought to have been named after Canoga, New York. This renaming of the region followed a period under the moniker of Owensmouth. The town makes a perfect base from which to explore the diverse and unforgettable surroundings of 'The Golden State'.
Approximately 25 miles from the heart of downtown Los Angeles, the region was ceded to the US in the mid-19th century as reparation following the Mexican War. Its history since this time has seen the town evolve into a thriving community, thanks in part to the influx of major aerospace companies - including North American Aviation and Hughes Aircraft - in the 1950s.
Downtown Los Angeles: A number of iconic sights can be found with a visit to downtown Los Angeles. From magnificent museums and galleries such at the Getty Center, to cruising along the famous Mulholland Drive, the vibrant yet captivating 'City of Angels' presents a memorable tourist destinations for all travellers.

Created in 1958, the Walk of Fame provides travellers with the opportunity to see stars dedicated to the greats of the entertainment industry, with notable luminaries including Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra.
Griffith Park: Set at the eastern end of the Santa Monica Mountains, Griffith Park covers over 4,000 acres of land and has been affectionately referred to as the Central Park of Los Angeles. Established by industrialist Griffith J. Griffith, today the park is home to a number of fascinating attractions.
