The Best Easter Family Breaks

Celebrate spring with a family holiday.

Never beaten on price

With half-term already a distant memory, many of us at Holiday Extras are thinking about the Easter holidays. Here’s our pick of the best breaks for families this spring.

Family holidays for Easter

Skiing in Europe

Pack up your family and your winter woolies, and head to France, Austria, Switzerland or Italy for a week on the slopes - your last chance this season. There are good deals to be had at resorts across Europe, some including free kids’ places, lift passes or ski hire. Check out Ski World and Igluski for starters.

UK theme park breaks

If you don’t fancy transporting the troops overseas, a theme park break at home could be just the ticket. From Legoland in Windsor and Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park on the edge of the New Forest, to Alton Towers near Stoke-on-Trent and Chessington, Surrey there’s a whole world of fun waiting for you. And it usually starts at Easter, so book as soon as you can.

Canary Islands

The Canaries are a great Easter option for pasty Brits in search of sunshine. Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and La Palma offer family-friendly accommodation, activities and best of all, warm temperatures and sunny beaches.

Take a look at Travel Supermarket which features well-priced holidays from great value family brands including Thomson and First Choice.

Scottish family adventure holidays

The Easter holidays provide a great opportunity for us to explore our very own British Isles. If you’re a get-up-and-go type of family, an adventure holiday in Scotland or Wales could get your spring off to a lively start. Take your pick from canoeing and kayaking, mountain biking, white water rafting, indoor and outdoor climbing, gorge walking, sailing, and wildlife safaris.

Wilderness Scotland offers family adventures for small groups and private trips for individual families; covering the West Highlands, Loch Ness, the west coast and the Cairngorms National Park.

PGL has been organising adventure breaks since 1957, with family trips to the Isle of Arran and Perthshire available as well as other parts of the UK and Europe.
