Baby food on a plane Tightened security arrangements at airports can be confusing at the best of times, even more so if you are travelling with a baby.

Here at HolidayExtras.com, we want to make your journey hassle-free, so have done the homework for you. If you're travelling with a baby and need to take formula milk and other essentials on board, read our advice on what baby food you can take onto your flight.

Standard regulations limit passengers to carry volumes no greater than 100ml on an aircraft.

What are the standard airport liquid regulations?
It is important to be aware that very strict guidelines are in place. When taking liquids through airport security they must be in a container with a capacity no greater than 100ml. These containers do not have to be transparent. When you have all the 100ml containers you will need, they must be placed within a resealable transparent bag with a capacity no greater than one litre.

Please take the transparent bag from your luggage when you arrive at security for presentation, ensuring that it is sealed. As you pass through security you may be asked to empty the contents of your plastic bag to be inspected.

Any baby food or milk you are taking on the flight may need to be tested before it is allowed through security. This will usually be done by asking you to taste it yourself. If you are unwilling to do this, it is unlikely you will be permitted to travel.
