Changing a nappy while flying

By Jonathan Vickery

Changing a nappy while flyingLike any other journey, it's likely that your baby will need changing at some point during your flight.

Many aircraft feature a baby-changing area with everything you need to change your baby quickly and easily. However, if you're unsure then it's worth checking with your airline before flying.

Aircraft lavatories are small and are a real challenge if your baby needs changing. Experience tells us the best way is to lay baby on your lap - thought don't forget the changing mat.

Make sure you have everything you need close to hand, including creams, baby powder and tissues. And don't forget a sealable plastic bag for any dirty clothes or nappies.

The fight attendant should be able to throw away disposable nappies for you, but make sure they're fully sealed in a plastic bag.
