Even if the roads appear to be clear before you leave, things can change while you're en route. Always consider alternative routes, traffic jams build up on the main roads and motorways into the airport.

Another good way to avoid delays is to try and time your journey so you're driving when the roads are at their quietest. If you can, try to avoid school holidays and bank holidays. When baby grows up, this may not be possible, but for the moment, save time and money by travelling out of peak periods.
