Great deals on hotel rooms
The Holiday Inn Express Cardiff Airport is a busy hive of activity. It's the closest hotel to the airport, so close that you can see the runway from some rooms. With a small gym with treadmills and a casual, friendly bar with pool tables, air hockey and a Wii to play, you'll have plenty to keep you entertained. The following morning, however, is all about free stuff! Help yourself to a free cooked breakfast from the hotel restaurant's buffet while you check on your flight with free wifi before hopping on a free transfer bus to the airport. It runs whenever you arrange it with the hotel and takes just five minutes. If you need to be where it's all happening, then this is the hotel for you.
Holiday Inn Express is a great choice for your Cardiff airport hotel. It offers the ideal setting to get your holiday started early.
Arrival at the Holiday Inn Express
You can check in from 2pm.
Here are your directions to the hotel:
Leave the M4 at junction 33 and take the A4232 towards the airport: its the first exit if youre travelling westbound, and the third exit if youre travelling eastbound.
At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A4050 Port Road.
Take the second exit at the next six roundabouts, staying on the A4050. At the seventh roundabout take the second exit onto the A4226 Port Road West.
At the following roundabout, take the second exit. Then take the second left onto Port Road. You will see the hotel at the next roundabout.
By public transport:
The hotel has its own shuttle bus, which is free for guests. The bus will pick you up any time, 24 hours a day - just give the hotel a call on 01446 711117.
You must check out by noon. You'll need to take your car to Long Stay car park 2, which is within the airport grounds and only about three minutes from the hotel. The car park has CCTV, entry and exit barriers and a fence and is regularly patrolled.
- As you exit the hotel car park, turn left.
- At the first roundabout, take the second exit.
- Shortly after, you'll approach another roundabout, take the first exit.
- Continue along this road. The car park is on the right.
When you arrive, make sure you are in the car you made your booking with. As you approach the entry barrier, don't take a ticket as a camera will read your number plate and the barrier will raise. If this doesn't happen, press the assistance button for help.
Then just park your car, unload your luggage and either walk or take the shuttle bus to the terminal. The car park is about 10 minutes' walk from check-in, but if you prefer, there's a shuttle bus every 10 to 15 minutes. The bus runs 24 hours a day and is included in the price.
There are disabled parking spaces near the exit, and the shuttle buses are wheelchair accessible.
