Down-to-earth food, stellar service

Guests at the Britannia Lodge are welcome to dine at the Mediterranee restaurant on the mezzanine floor of the main Europa building. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner, with a full English breakfast buffet served from 6.30-9.45am, including hot porridge, unlimited toast and as many sausages as you can balance on your plate. A continental breakfast is also available from 5am – perfect if you have an early flight to catch or prefer a lighter start to the day.

Mediterranee Restaurant

  • Breakfast: 6.30am to 9.45am
  • Continental breakfast from 5am

In the evenings, guests can fill up at the self-service carvery, which offers several roast joints daily, as well as fish and vegetarian options. Start with the soup of the day, salad or a cold appetiser, then move onto your choice of carvery and roast veggies – a friendly member of staff will be happy to help if you need a hand with the carving. Don’t forget to leave room for dessert – a selection of cakes and puddings will tempt your sweet tooth. Simple and plentiful, the carvery suits big appetites and those who prefer simple British cuisine. Drinks to go with dinner can be purchased from the bar downstairs.

Rafters Bar

  • Midday to 10pm daily

The Rafters bar on the ground floor serves hot meals and bar snacks from noon to 10pm. Classic British favourites and bar snacks are the order of the day here – fish and chips, ham and eggs, steaks and burgers costing around £6, and soups, salads and daily specials complete the menu. As well as offering lighter choices for smaller appetites, the bar menu is handy for lunch or an early dinner, making Rafters a convenient choice for families and travellers wanting an early night.

A room service of snacks and light meals is also available 24 hours.
