Getting to the Gatwick Britannia Lodge

No need to go where no man's gone before

If you’re arriving by car: From the M23 Southbound, take junction 10a and then the second exit onto the B2036 Balcombe road, signposted Horley/Crawley. Cross the bridge over the motorway and continue for another 100m; the hotel is on the right.

Key :   = Britannia Lodge   = Gatwick Airport

If you’re coming by public transport: The nearest station is Three Bridges, and a taxi to the hotel costs around £5. Alternatively, take the train to Gatwick Airport and use the transfer bus G4 – the return fare is £5 per adult, meaning you can use the bus to get back to the airport for your flight. The bus is a 24-hour service, and calls at Stop 12 (South terminal) and Stop 8 (North terminal) – follow the signs for “hotel buses”; the bus will display “Europa Hotel” as its destination. Buses run hourly at off-peak times and every 45 minutes at the morning and afternoon peaks.

A local minicab to the Britannia Lodge will cost around £14; hotel staff will be happy to help you book with a reputable firm. Ask to be taken to the Europa hotel when booking.

Getting to the airport: The G4 transfer bus costs £5 per adult return, meaning you can use your ticket to come back to the hotel when it’s time to collect your car. Children under 16 travel for £2.50, and under-5s travel free. Buses leave from the front entrance of the hotel every 45 minutes at peak times and hourly at other times – check the timetables at the front desk for further information.

The journey takes around ten minutes to the South terminal in the daytime (allow fifteen minutes at rush hour) and takes another five minutes to the North terminal.
