The staff at both Heathrow and Gatwick were very helpful. We had no problems at either venues

It took us over 2 hours from arrival at Heathrow Terminal 5 until we reached Mercure Hotel. The travel information supplied by by Holiday extras was incorrect. From Terminal 5 you advised Hoppa stops 22 & 23 for bus Number H58. There was no bus there and we were told by a bus driver that Bus number H58 did not go to terminal 5 any more. We were advised to go to Terminal 3, this we did and followed the advice in our Holiday extras information to go to Bus Stops 17 & 18 for transport to our hotel, unfortunately these stops were designated for taxis. we enquired at the Terminal and were advised to go to the correct stop.
The Hotel staff were very apologetic and helpful.

The car parking was a problem,no marked spaces available
Our three rooms were not together. The staff were very helpful.

Room not as described (paid extra for 3 beds but only given 2, staff in reception would not offer alternative ). 20 min wait to check in. Access to hotel blocked by parked cars and bus. Service in restaurant very slow, nearly an hour to get food even for children despite restaurant being quiet. I would be careful not to use this hotel again, spoilt beginning of holiday

I was very impressed with the hotel. The rooms were lovely and clean as was the whole hotel. Very good price and the staff were very helpful and efficient. Easy pickup from outside the hotel to air terminal. Would definitely use again and would recommend
