A tropical island in an airport hotel
Leaning back and floating in a beautiful, blue pool, with palm trees hanging overhead. You swim under a bridge, round a little island hideaway and then right up to a bar and order a drink to sip while you soak away in the cool water but, hang on, you haven't even caught your flight yet! The Sheraton Skyline is built around an enormous, tropical-style pool under a glass ceiling, so you don't have to wait for landing to start your exotic getaway.
The pool is open from 7am to 10pm, but that's just the start of your adventure at this Heathrow hotel. There are three restaurants, offering everything from bar snacks for munching in front of a football match, to four-star cuisine in a tropical garden. There's even a Starbucks in the lobby.
Take a break from the tropics and get a workout
If your idea of relaxing has more to do with treadmills than tropics, the Sheraton Fitness gym is open 24 hours a day. Just pop your room key in the door and let yourself in. You'll find cardio equipment like bikes, step machines and the aforementioned treadmills, along with both free and fixed weights. Everything you need to work out the last of that stress before your holiday.
All this and the Sheraton still has some of the largest rooms you'll find at Heathrow and the hotel is a little more than a mile from the terminal. If you're looking for luxury, this is where you'll find it.
We recommend the Sheraton Skyline for:
Tropical paradise - For real luxury, you'll struggle to find better than a tropical island wrapped up in an airport hotel! Swim, eat, drink and be merry.
Luxury rooms - The Sheraton has some of the largest rooms you'll find at Heathrow and all have luxury beds so good Sheraton put its own brand on them.
Great food - With three different restaurants, you'll find everything from Mediterranean-themed fine dining to USA-themed bar grub. Something to put a smile on everyone's face.
You can check in from 2pm; you must check out by noon.
Sheraton Skyline Hotel,
Bath Road (A4),
A holiday in itself. From the indoor pool and stylish cocktail bar, to the palm trees and exotic plants, the Sheraton Skyline is a tropical paradise - the epitome of relaxation.
Check-in is from 14:00, so you'll have plenty of time to explore this luxurious retreat. From the minute you arrive, friendly and attentive staff make sure you're well taken care of. Overnight parking costs £15 and we can arrange this for you on the next page.
Nestled between palm trees and brightly coloured exotic plants is an indoor oasis, the hub of the hotel. Swim a few laps in the luxurious heated pool, then float over to the tropical Sky bar for a delicious, fruity cocktail. Laze on a comfy recliner or cross the wooden bridge to your own private island seating area. It's hard to believe you're less than 2 miles from check-in at Heathrow.
Time to eat? The Sports Bar & Grill provides a real American grill style atmosphere. From the sports memorabilia and the red Mustang, to the huge TV screens showing all of the latest sporting action, it's the ideal setting for an informal dinner. Tuck into a hearty steak cooked just the way you like it or a towering burger bursting with fresh vegetables. There's not just meat on the menu - pasta dishes, salads and pizzas offer veggies some delicious alternatives. You can even save money when you pre-book two scrumptious dishes here; it gives you the perfect excuse to try a sweet treat as well. The Sports Bar & Grill serves dinner from 18:00 to 01:00 on weekdays and from 12:00 to 00:00 on weekends.
If you fancy some a little more exotic, head over to Madhu's for mouth-wateringly exquisite Indian cuisine. You'll find a tempting menu of Punjabi dishes with a zesty Kenyan twist. Each dish is painstakingly cooked to perfection on the grill by the brilliant chefs. From creamy tikkas to spicy biryanis, the authentic menu has plenty of delectable choices, served from 18:00 to 23:30 daily. Wherever your stomach leads you, we'd advise you book a table when you arrive. Both restaurants are so popular, even the locals eat there.
For a pre-holiday tipple before bed, head back to the Sky bar. At sunset it has a resort feel to it - lit up in bright colours, with the warmth of a sultry island. The barman energetically shakes and stirs all of your favourite holiday drinks, and serves them up with an umbrella and a juicy slice of fruit.
You can even burn off a few of those delicious dinner-time calories in the hotel's well-equipped studio gym. It's even open 24 hours a day, so you can stroll in as leisurely as you like.
And, if you need to stay connected to the outside world, wifi is free for guests throughout the hotel. There's even a Starbucks coffee shop for that caffeine fix.
You'll find even more luxury in your bedroom: a Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed. Designed to relieve pressure points, it's probably the comfiest you'll find at Heathrow. Rooms are even soundproofed for an undisturbed night's sleep.
When you're back in the land of the living, you won't want to miss out on a hearty buffet breakfast. Pile up a plate of your favourite English and continental items. And, you'll save even more money when you pre-book the most important meal of the day. It's served from 06:00 to 10:00 on weekdays and until 11:00 on weekends.
Transferring to the airport couldn't be simpler. Jump on the Heathrow Hoppa bus from outside the hotel and it'll take you straight to your terminal.
