Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport

Sleep like a princess at the Crowne Plaza

Stroll through the opulent furnishings of the Lobby Lounge to locate your room. The corridors aren’t short but once you push open the heavy, soundproof door, you’ll realise it was worth the walk. Each elegant room is decorated with modern fittings and plush furnishings, all of which adhere to the Manchester Crowne Plaza's signature maroon and charcoal colour scheme as well as its dedication to quality, as standard.

Your bed is possibly the most important feature of the room you’ll be sleeping in, and resting against the white, Egyptian linen pillow cases you’ll find an aromatherapy kit. The ‘This Works’ award-winning homeopathic scents are designed to lull you into a haven of herbal bliss. Just spritz one of the remedies directly onto your pillow, and rub the other onto your pulse-points and before you know it you’ll be drifting into a serene and soothing slumber. Plus the pamphlet guide to sleeping soundly will give you some light bedtime reading - top tips courtesy of the former chairman of the British Sleep Society.

Utterly dedicated to helping you have a good night’s sleep, the Crowne Plaza at Manchester airport hotel has devised a ‘Sleep Advantage System’. This includes the daily ‘Quiet Zone’, where no housekeeping, engineering works, or room attendants will disturb the peace between 9pm and 10am unless you specifically request them. Plus, the guaranteed wake-up call will come five minutes before the time you requested, to gently draw you into the day. And if you don’t receive a wake-up call within five minutes of the time you specified, your room will be free! The late check-out time of 12 noon encourages a luxurious lie-in.

Room facilities

Each lavish bedroom boasts a 32”, high-definition LG flat screen TV with a built-in radio, pay per view movies and video games. High speed internet is available throughout the hotel. All rooms have air conditioning, laptop-sized safes, tea and coffee making facilities, a telephone, an en suite bathroom, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, double glazed windows, and those all-important black-out curtains. Upgrade to a Club room to enjoy an even larger, 37” TV, a king-size bed, White Company toiletries and a oversized desk. You’ll even find wine glasses in your room and an ice bucket that you can fill up from the communal ice machine in the corridor; great for a cool night-cap, or an extra refreshing glass of fruit juice with your breakfast in bed.

Slide into the large bathtub in your pristine en suite bathroom, or drench under the shower. The Crowne Plaza aim for a reduced carbon footprint, so all showers are eco-friendly. But don’t worry, you wouldn’t know any different as the intense pressure blasts away the cobwebs for a tinglingly fresh start to your holiday. If you’ve forgotten any of your essentials, be it a toothbrush, shaving cream, your comb, or female sanitary products, just call the front desk and they’ll send someone up to deliver it to your door.

Rom types and disabled facilities

There are almost as many room types as there are rooms! The 294 rooms at the Crowne Plaza vary from double standard, double standard plus, and standard twins, to King club rooms, which include free breakfast and access to the club lounge for drinks and canapes. There are also family rooms which feature either two double beds, or a double and a double sofa bed, or a double and a single sofa bed and connecting rooms. There is disabled access throughout the hotel, with two accessible rooms.
