Driving to Exeter airport

You can find Exeter International airport just five miles from Exeter city centre. The closest motorway is the M5 – you can leave it at junction 29 for Honiton Road (A30), after which the airport is a five-minute drive away, on the left-hand side.

Parking at Exeter airport

When you reach Exeter airport you’ll have a number of parking options, some of which are ideally suited to the quick collection of passengers. Details of the pick-up areas are listed below:

  • Car park 1 – You can stay for up to 30 minutes for just £1 at this car park, which is located just 50 yards from the terminal. The short distance makes it perfect if you’re in a hurry, or need to transport lots of luggage*.
  • Car park 4 – To save money choose this area for free parking for up to ten minutes. A shuttle bus can take you to and from the terminal quickly, ensuring that your passenger can get to the car park in plenty of time*.

Choosing public transport

If you are not expecting to get picked up you’ll want to have an idea of the public transport options available at the airport. It’s easy to get to a variety of southern and western locations, whether your budget stretches to a taxi or a bus.

The following public transport options are available:

  • Train. Exeter airport does not have its own railway station, but you can get a bus to the nearby Exeter St Davids station, or a taxi to another station in the area, including Exeter Central, Tiverton Parkway and Digby & Sowton.
  • Bus. Service 56 buses, operated by Stagecoach, run regularly from the airport to Exeter St Davids station, Exeter city centre and Exmouth.
  • Taxi. From just outside the arrivals building you can hop into an Exeter Airport Taxis car with up to seven other passengers. Corporate cars can also be booked from the airport.
