Official Car Parking
The airport's own Long Stay car parks are just behind the departure building, less than a 5-minute walk away. Park, keep your keys and catch your flight, secure in the knowledge that your car will be protected by hourly patrols and CCTV while you're away on your well-earned break. When you get back, just walk to your car and drive off. Airport parking as simple as a trip to the shops.
Reasons to book Long Stay 1 East Midlands Airport
- Unbeatable value for an official airport car park, just a 3-minute walk from the terminal.
- Relax knowing your car is in a car park with hourly patrols, 24-hour CCTV and number plate recognition restricting entry.
- No need to wait for a transfer bus as the car park is just a short walk from the terminal.
- Keep your own keys and leave when you're ready after your holiday.
Arrival at Long Stay 1 East Midlands Airport
Car Park 1 has automatic number plate recognition, so you'll need to give us your car registration number when you book. You should take a copy of your booking confirmation to the car park with you.
Just drive up to the entry barrier and wait for the machine to read your number plate. This can take up to a minute. The machine will give you a ticket with your registration number and booking reference on, and the barrier will open, so you can drive in and park.
If nothing happens, press the button marked 'assistance' so you can speak to a member of staff through the intercom. They'll ask you to confirm your details, and then the machine will give you a ticket.
Don't insert your credit or debit card into the barrier at any point or you will be charged again for your parking.
Also, don't press the ticket button, as this will stop you being able to gain entry.
Getting to and from East-midlands airport
There's only a five-minute walk between the car park and the terminal - simply follow the signposts from Long Stay 1.
On your return to Long Stay 1 East Midlands Airport
Just drive to the exit barrier and put your ticket into the slot. The barrier will lift to let you out. This can take up to a minute. If it doesn't, press the button marked 'assistance' and a member of staff will let you out. Don't insert your credit or debit card into the barrier at any point or you will be charged again for your parking. We advise, as always, having a copy of your booking confirmation with you.
Car Park 1 does not allow trailers.
Long Stay 1 East Midlands Airport Address
East Midlands airport,
Staff were very good and helped when on returning to our car we discovered we had a flat car battery. As this must happen often I would suggest you have a permanent battery charger on site so that you can get customers on their way home quickly.Mr Gair (East-midlands Long Stay 1 East Midlands Airport)
I've booked East Midlands car park with yourselves a few times & every time I get delayed at the exit barrier - being asked to make a payment!!! This situation needs to be resolved as it always causes me problemsMr Albrighton (East-midlands Long Stay 1 East Midlands Airport)
My vehicle was not recognised when I arrived at the barrier. The staff on the assistance were helpful in getting us through, however on our return to collect the car and exit we had the same problem. Again the staff did assist us to get out but the process was very frustrating as there were other cars waiting behind us. I have used this car park before with the same vehicle so did not expect to have any problems.Mrs Oxby (East-midlands Long Stay 1 East Midlands Airport)
On arrival Gates didn't recognise the car in front of me or mine but gained access and left without having to press for assistance. So no real hold up! Parked here before without any problemsMr Brook (East-midlands Long Stay 1 East Midlands Airport)
great on arrival but when we came back the barrier didnt rise and when we tried to contact the staff it took longer than it should have.Mrs Nickson (East-midlands Long Stay 1 East Midlands Airport)
