to the airport
This Purple Parking site, formally Airparks, has provided a popular parking choice at Gatwick Airport since 1978. Offering secure and affordable parking with terminal transfers around the clock, Purple Parking Gatwick has one of our highest levels of repeat custom.
Each year, their fifty-strong team of fully insured, professional drivers take pride in quickly and efficiently parking two million cars in their secure parking location.
Purple Parking Gatwick is easy to find, just follow our directions, use our map or put your postcode into our directions finder. Upon arrival, leave your car in one of the arrival bays, check in at reception and jump on one of the fast and frequent bus transfers to the airport.
While youre on your way to the airport one of Purple Parkings professional drivers will park your car in their secure parking location. Your car is insured all the while it is with them, and there are regular patrols around the car park 24 hours a day. Upon arrival back to Gatwick Airport, you will find your car ready and waiting in one of the departure bays as you step off the bus from the terminal.
If time is of the essence, you can make the most of Purple Parkings extra-special time saving services. A chauffeur can meet you at the airport terminal and drive your car to their secure parking location, leaving you free to head straight to check-in. While youre away you can choose to have your car valeted, inside and out, and upon your arrival they can meet you back at the terminal ready for you to drive away. You can add any of these options as you make your way through your booking.
You need to rethink case storage on buses. Lifting & stacking with the present system is extremely difficult.Mr Hood (Gatwick Purple Parking)
We would definitely do this again. It was the first time we chose to use the services and we were not disappointed/Mr Harding (Gatwick Purple Parking)
we booked our airport parking through holiday extras, it went very smoothly and was no hassle at all! just paked the car up, showed them the paperwork then jumped straight onto a coach to the airport.Miss Askwith (Gatwick Purple Parking)
Staff at carpark were very helpful and clear with their insructions. There was a bus waiting and on the way home we didn't have to wait either. Very simple and smooth.Ms Bowen (Gatwick Purple Parking)
Staff were very helpful and car was ready for collection on time.Ms Arthur (Gatwick Purple Parking)
We were also given good directions to Airparks, which proved invaluable, and the buses to and from the airport terminal were clean, comfortable, and frequent.

Arrival at Gatwick Purple Parking
Park in one of the arrivals bays, take note of the number and head to reception to check in. You'll need to present a copy of your booking confirmation, drop your keys in the red box for the correct number lane and you'll be given a ticket, which you should keep safe as you'll need it later. It will also have instructions on the back for when you return.
You car will be parked for you while you catch the bus from the waiting area to the airport and your keys will stay with the car park while you're away. You'll need to show your ticket to the driver.
Getting to and from Gatwick airport
Park your car at Purple Parking, then take one of the transfer buses to the airport. It takes just 10 to 15 minutes to get to the airport, which is 5 miles from Purple Parking. Buses run every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day, and call at North terminal and then the South terminal. When you arrive, there's no need to worry about navigating through the airport traffic from the drop-off because there's a purpose-built area for the drop-off buses. So when you arrive at the airport it's just a short walk on the pavement to the terminal.
After your holiday, catch the Purple Parking transfer bus from the drop-off area at the terminal back to Purple Parking. Buses leave from bay 6 or 7 from the North terminal, and bay 7 or 8 from the South terminal.
The new buses are all fitted with seatbelts and have plenty of room for all of your luggage. They lower so you can get on and off easily, and to accommodate wheelchairs. Transfers are included in the price.
On your return to Gatwick Purple Parking
Catch the transfer bus from where you were dropped off. You'll need to show the ticket you were given at check-in to the driver. If you're at the North terminal, turn right out of the terminal, follow the signs to the bus stop and catch your bus at stop 6 or 7. If you're at the South terminal, go out of the terminal, head down to the ground level, turn right and catch your bus at stop 7 or 8. Once you've been whisked back to your car, collect your keys from reception, drive to the exit and scan the barcode attached to your keys at the exit barrier to get out.
If you return early, you will need to contact the car park directly to give them as much notice as possible. If you don't, there may be a delay before you get your car back. We can't offer you a refund for any booked parking that you don't use.
We recommend that you give yourself 45 minutes to drop your car and keys off and transfer to the airport.
When you enter the car park, your car will need to stop in a camera tunnel so that it can be photographed for safety. This has a height limit of 1.8 metres. The car park also can't accept motorbikes or scooters, commercial vehicles, minibuses, high-sided vehicles, mobile homes, lorries, caravans or vehicles with trailers.
