(3 star hotel)
from the airport
Prices so low you forget it's at an airport
The Travelodge at Gatwick (formerly the Mercure hotel Gatwick) is not only large enough to allow for last-minute bookings, but also affordable enough for even the most restricted of budgets. It's one of the cheapest hotels at Gatwick airport and the restaurant and bar are extremely well-priced. There are also rooms spacious enough to accommodate four adults comfortably.
The Travelodge is a good choice if you're travelling to Gatwick airport by car. It's just a few minutes from junction 10 of the M23 and has an undercover on-site car park where you can park overnight. If you need parking while you're away, you can book your car into one of the Long Stay car parks at Gatwick airport, or into Airparks, a secured car park just outside the airport.
If youre coming by public transport, Gatwick airport train station is an easy bus ride away and connected to London by regular trains. In the morning, the hotel shuttle bus will take you back to the airport. You need bus G23, which leaves from outside reception and takes 15 minutes to reach the North terminal, and 20 to reach the South terminal.
The Travelodge has a bar and restaurant with a simple, classic pub grub-style menu, which is served from 6.30pm to 10pm. Theres also free wifi in the bar and restaurant.

We booked the travelodge at Gatwick and were very upset when we were told that their overnight car park was pay and display costing £5.00. The parking arrangements for the week at Summer Special were fine.Mr Knight (Gatwick Travelodge)
We stayed at the Gatwick travel lodge. The room window did not open and the air-con did not work. A temporary unit was placed in the room which was very noisy and not powerful enough. We all got very hot and did not sleep well. A very bad start to the holidayMr Williamson (Gatwick Travelodge)
We found the experience with both hotel and car park really good. Hotel room good size for a family of 4. Breakfast really good, and parking the car stress free . We would definitely use again.Mrs Frank (Gatwick Travelodge)
This service took out all the hassle of worrying where to park the car etc. On our return, the car was ready for us only a few yards from the office. The car park numbering system made life very easy. Thank you.Mr Lingings (Gatwick Travelodge)
The service was excellent as expected, I have used holiday extras many times in the past and never had a problem. Thanks for making it so easy to go on holiday and not having to worry about my car parking.Mr Smith (Gatwick Travelodge)

Families - The Travelodges family rooms are very spacious, and can actually accommodate four adults, so older children will be more than comfortable. Children are also allowed in the bar at any time.
Drinks - The lively bar offers a drinks promotion each month, making the Travelodge one of the most affordable places to start your holiday with a glass of something tasty.
Value - Not only are the rooms great value, the Travelodge also offers an affordable food menu and free wifi in the bar.
Groups - You wont find many hotels willing to let four adults share one room, and at the Travelodge youll still get a comfortable nights sleep if you do decide to share.
You can check in from 3pm; you must check out by noon.
