Getting to the Thistle Hotel Heathrow
Getting there is plane and simple
The Thistle is just off the Bath Road (A4) and close to junction 14 of the M25. Or if you're travelling to the hotel by public transport, you can catch the Heathrow Hoppa from all terminals to the Thistle.
By car: On the southbound M25, leave at junction 14 and take the right-hand lane following signs for terminal 4 / Cargo. At the first roundabout take the first exit onto Airport Way, the A3113. Travelling north on the M25, leave at junction 14 and turn right on the roundabout taking the third exit onto Airport Way, the A3113. Drive approximately 1km to the next roundabout and turn left on the first exit onto Stanwell Moor Road, the A3044. Approximately 2km further on is another roundabout. Take the third exit onto the Bath Road signposted for Longford. The Thistle Hotel is a little under 1km and is clearly signposted on your right.
By public transport: The Heathrow Express train from Paddington or the Heathrow Connect train will take you to any of the terminals. The best terminal for the Thistle Hotel is terminal 5. From there, you can catch the Heathrow Hoppa H51 bus, which pulls up right outside the front door. The Hoppa runs every 20 to 30 minutes between 5.02am and midnight. Transfers to and from terminal 4 start at 4.51am until 11.51pm and are also via the H51. For transfers from terminals 1 and 3 to the hotel, catch the H4 bus. It runs every 15 to 30 minutes between 4.40am and 11.28pm. The cost is £4 for adults when booked in advance, and children ride for free. Its £4.50 if you buy from the driver. Tickets can be bought in the Heathrow terminal buildings or from the Thistle Hotel reception.
It is also possible to catch a free bus to terminal 5 or to the Heathrow central bus station from which its easy to walk to terminals 1 and 3 or get the free connecting train to terminal 4. For terminal 5, the bus stops in the street just a few metres to the right of the entrance to the hotel car park. Catch bus number 423. It takes just a few minutes to get to the terminal. For the bus to terminals 1 and 3, youll need to walk about 100m up the road and cross over. For the bus to terminal 5, turn right as you leave the car park. Bus numbers 75 and 76 will take you to Heathrow central. Once inside the bus station, go into the building and head downstairs where you will see signs for the walkway to terminals 1 and 3 or to catch the train to terminal 4.
