A big hotel for small budgets
The Ibis ticks all the boxes of a budget airport hotel: it's extremely cheap, functional and within a 10-minute walk of the terminal. Overnight stays start from £39, and its ultimate purpose is to provide a comfortable base for those who just want to get their head down and go.
There are two main aspects to the Luton Ibis: its bar-cum-restaurant and its 162 guest rooms. All bedrooms are clean, contemporary and have a flatscreen TV that doubles as a wireless router. The hotel's bar and restaurant is light and airy, and is a hive of activity with holidaymakers during the evening.
The Ibis realises that its guests come and go at all hours, so it offers a limited menu 24 hours a day and a full menu between noon and 10pm. In the daytime, its courtyard, which forms part of the bar, is a pleasant place to relax and while away the time before your flight. And if the weather's nice, it's a real sun trap - so you can top up that pre-holiday tan!
We recommend the Ibis Luton for:
Budget conscious travellers - if you don't mind no-frills, you won't mind the Ibis. It's got everything you need to get a good night's sleep, and it's easy on the wallet too.
Friends - younger travellers who are going away with friends will find the Ibis ideal. It's cheap, which leaves more holiday spending money, and the lounge area with a pool table provides a sociable atmosphere to get into the holiday mood.
