Enjoy a tipple at The Hub bar
The Hub is the hotels main bar and its a great place to kick off your holiday in style. Warm-coloured walls and the buzz of happy holidaymakers allow for a relaxing drink (or two) - whether its a cold beer after lunch or a quick nightcap before bed. Although The Hub is an adults-only bar, the adjacent open-plan TV lounge has heaps of comfortable seating, making it an ideal spot for families or groups of friends.
As you'd expect, the generously stocked bar offers all the typical soft drinks: coke, lemonade, mineral water and fruit juices. You can also pick up a Starbucks coffee or tea to drink in or to take away in the morning.
We think there's no better way to relax the evening before you fly than with a smooth glass of wine or a cold beer or cider: Beck's Vier, Stella Artois, Boddingtons, Guinness and Symonds are on tap. With bottled beers, ales and ciders such as Budweiser, Heineken, Newcastle Brown, Peroni and Bulmer, youre sure not to be thirsty for long.
For the connoisseurs, there's a wine list longer than your arm, as well as a range of spirits, liqueurs and whiskies.
- Open 9am to 1.30am
Continuing with Traders' best-of-British theme, The Hub serves up a selection of deli-style sandwiches with a choice of breads and fillings. Pick from roast beef and horseradish, egg mayonnaise, prawns, cured ham and mature cheddar and salad. If youre after something a bit more substantial, hearty burgers and hot dogs, steak, lasagna, and curry dishes are sure to fill you up.
Before you fly, you can fuel up on the buffet-style breakfast to get you through the busy day. The Hub serves classic breakfast butty fillings such as Cumberland sausage, back bacon, fried egg and grilled mushrooms. If you fancy something lighter, simply enjoy a couple of slices of toast with jam or marmalade. Wash it down with a tea or coffee and you're ready to go!
The staff were helpful and polite. The accommodation was excellent. We booked breakfast as well however would like to see an earlier start for breakfast during the week perhaps 0600 or 0630.Mr Hughes, 21 Dec, 2015 (5 out of 5)
I couldn't fault our booking. The room was extremely comfortable, bed was large, we ate a meal at the restaurant which was very good. We found the staff extremely helpful and efficient.Mrs Micklewright, 20 Dec, 2015 (5 out of 5)
we were given a room that had not been cleaned by housekeeping so had to be given another room. although we were given an executive room to compensate for the inconvienience we would have much prefered a no hassle stayMr Bunyan, 20 Dec, 2015 (4 out of 5)
Hotel facilities excellent. Only negative was the group of merry smokers outside the main entrance from the function room. Something that perhaps the hotel should address. Not a good first impression.Mr Williams, 20 Dec, 2015 (5 out of 5)
Reception Staff in hotel were very helpful as were waiting/bar staff. Bus to airport ran on time but a little help with cases when boarding bus would welcome, ie driver or porter at hotel.Mr Boniface, 13 Sep, 2015 (5 out of 5)
