Rail travel when it suits you with Holiday Extras

Our rail tickets give you the chance to travel whenever you want. The time is completely unrestricted, so you can match your train to your flight time. If your flight's delayed, just catch a later train - you're under no pressure at all.

How to reach Birmingham airport by rail

Birmingham New Street lies at the centre of the English rail network. From there trains connect frequently to Birmingham International for the airport and the NEC. There is a monorail service directly from the station building into the airport. The monorail runs every two minutes and is completely free to use. On return, simply head back to the station and catch the most convenient train back home. Holiday Extras® make life easy for you - there are no times on your tickets and they are valid for up to two months from the first date of travel.

Staying in a hotel at Birmingham airport

If you're travelling to Birmingham airport by train then your best option is one of our on-airport hotels. We provide rooms at the Ibis and Novotel, both of which are just a short walk across from the airport terminal. We can also help you find a room at the Hilton Metropole, Crowne Plaza and the Express by Holiday Inn at the NEC complex. The NEC is connected to Birmingham International rail station and all three hotels are within easy walking distance of the exhibition centre.

Find some personal space while waiting for your flight from Birmingham

An airport lounge is the best way to really relax and unwind before your flight. You'll escape the busy crowds and be able to enjoy complimentary snacks, drinks and entertainment facilities. We can offer a space in two lounges in terminal 1 at Birmingham, the Aviance and the Servisair. There really is no better way to start a holiday.

You will be asked to enter either your outbound and inbound flight numbers or your tour operator's booking reference as part of the booking process.
