When staying at the Days, youve got three easy parking options: leave your vehicle at the hotel for the duration of your holiday, drive it to one of the Gatwick airport long stay car parks or drive to nearby Purple Parking and use their park and ride service.
Guests staying at the Days hotel, Gatwick can park their car in the car park immediately in front of the hotel for free. If youre using one of Gatwick airports long stay car parks during your holiday, simply arrive at the Days and check in as normal, leave your vehicle here overnight and drive the short way to Gatwicks long stay car park the morning of your flight. Its easy to find and well signposted.
As the car park has automatic number plate recognition, well ask you for your plate number when you book your parking. When you arrive at the car park the automatic barrier will recognise your car and let you in. You can see maps and directions to the car park at our Long Stay parking page. There are Long Stay car parks at both the North and South terminals of Gatwick airport. A bus transfer to the terminal is included in the cost of your parking and runs 24 hours a day, every 10 minutes. The journey takes just five minutes.
If youre staying at the Gatwick Days hotel the night before your holiday why not book your car in for longer and enjoy the ease and convenience of letting someone else do the hard work? Simply check in to the hotel as normal, fill in a parking form and leave your keys with reception theres no need to get behind the wheel again, as the hotel staff will park your car for you in the hotels rear car park and return it to the front of the building for you to collect on your return.
To get to the airport you can use the hotels convenient on-demand shuttle bus service. When you check in simply tell them what time you need to leave for your flight (between 6am and midnight) and they will book a seat on the shuttle for you at a cost of £4 per person. The shuttle leaves from directly outside the hotel entrance and takes about 10 minutes to reach either the North or the South terminal. Allow plenty of time to check in for your flight though, the bus can take longer if traffic is busy.
On your return to Gatwick after your holiday, the hotel will pick you up free of charge and return you to the hotel to collect your car. Simply call the hotel from the yellow free phone outside the terminal building to arrange for the shuttle bus to pick you up. At the South terminal, this is found at Stand 12 outside at ground level. At the North terminal its at the hotel coach stand in the middle lane on the ground level. The hotel will send the shuttle to pick you up immediately, which can take up to 20 minutes. The journey to the hotel is then just 10 minutes.
You can leave your car overnight at the Days Hotel and then, in the morning, drive to Purple Parking (formally Airparks) and leave your car within their secured grounds for the duration of your holiday. Purple Parking is located about 5 minutes drive from the South terminal. When you arrive, park in any of the entrance bays outside reception. Take your luggage and booking confirmation to reception. You will need to leave your keys with Purple Parking staff and then step onto the transfer bus.
Purple Parking buses run to both terminals, leaving the car park every 20 minutes and taking about 5 minutes to the South terminal and another 5 minutes to arrive at the North terminal. Your car is kept safe and sound with staff on-site 24 hours a day and the car park itself has high security fencing, security gates and lighting and CCTV.
