How it works
As soon as your booking is made, we will email you a confirmation. This will contain your booking reference, details of your car hire provider and where to find the car hire desk when you arrive at your destination. If you're picking up your rental car from Malaga Airport, then your confirmation will state whether the desk is located within the terminal or a short free shuttle bus ride away.
A word about insurance
Our Spain car hire agreements all include a collision damage waiver. This means that, in the event of theft or damage, you won't be charged any more than your excess.

On arrival - collecting your hire car in Malaga
When you arrive to collect your rental car in Malaga - whether from Malaga Airport (AGP) or from another resort, you will need to make your way to the car hire provider's desk. Here, a member of the team will go through the paperwork for the car rental agreement with you. You need to complete some forms ahead of being given the keys to the rental car. They will also remind you of the fuel policy for the car and how much fuel it should be returned with, as well as whether there is any mileage limit on the hire agreement.
You need to ensure you have the following with you when you pick up your hire car:
- Printed email confirmation for each of your journeys
- A full driving licence
- Credit card in the lead driver's name, with the full deposit amount available
- A valid DVLA code
- A valid passport
What happens on your return
Details of where you need to return your hire car to will be included on your booking confirmation. When you drop the car off, it will be given the once over by a member of the car hire company's team before you can head off.

Once you've picked up your hire car, then you'll be free to explore all that the Costa del Sol has to offer. If you're after some rays, then the bustling traditional resorts of Benalmadena and Torremolinos both have wide sandy beaches and a host of facilities. If you fancy having a look at how the other half live, then head off to the marina at Puerto Banus and admire the luxury yachts.
Venture a bit further down the coast, and you'll come across the picturesque resort of Nerja. It boasts a lovely sandy beach, as well as a wide promenade and even its own caves, the largest of which is used as a concert venue. Another unmissable sight is the pretty mountainside village of Mijas Pueblo with its whitewashed houses. It has a large array of shops and boutiques selling locally produced crafts and art, as well as being home to the famous donkeys.
