I felt we had been mugged, we were in No 1 lounge. It was not clean, tables not cleared, staff running around not knowing what to do. Lunch choice was dire curry, or salad, had to wait 10 minutes for the cheese to arrive and the napkins ( or should I say lack of) there was a blue paper roll on the salad counter, which in our house lives in the garage. I have pictures which I am going to send to CEO. £56 for a disgraceful experience.

Holiday extras were easy to use & book through. However I would not recommend the Gatwick number one lounge at north terminal. The food is nowhere near as nice or as hot as it was in the past. Plus you had to queue in a single line to get served at the bar. Not worth the money.

The lounge was overbooked with no seats available without at least a 15min wait The hot drinks dispenser worked less the 20% of the time The breakfast service was laid out in a two tray set up with tepid and missing most choices danishes were stale All in all a most disappointing waste of my time and money

Firstly I was billed twice for this lounge, once on my credit card and once on my debit card so had the hassle of having to request a refund for one charge. Also, it wasn't the usual experience from a No 1 Lounge. Bar staff were efficient and friendly. However, usual table service was replaced with a buffet which was not great. Also lounge had a rather untidy and tatty feel

Didn’t get to go in the lounge! Lounge was due open at 4 and when we turned up it was closed! Our gate opened at 5! Waited until 4:20 and lounge still wasn’t open so walked off and ate in restaurant! I have applied for a refund and still yet to get a response!

Used no1 lounge , north terminal, toilets not very clean, food not stocked, long queues for drinks. No management of staff. Generally not impressed and will not use again.

Lounge was easy to find, but the main room was not very clean and the food selection was very poor and/ was not being replenished. Would think twice before we book the lounge again.

The lounge we normally use was closed so we had to change. We found this lounge to be very busy so therefore was having to wait for the food to be restock and also felt the lounge was dirty.

The No1 Lounge at Gatwick North we have used many times, and previously found it to be a very pleasant experience, however this time it was not so good. The tables were left with used plates on for a long period of time and customers were having to clear the plates prior to being able to sit down at a table. The whole lounge did not look as clean as we would have expected. The food section on the hot food was empty for quite some time there seamed to be a timing problem changing over from the breakfast food to the lunchtime food. And getting a drink was not as pleasant as before as now it seams you need to cue at one section of the bar rather than being served at the part of the bar where you are stood or sat on a stool. All the above are minor issues but collectively, we felt they made the relaxing experience not what we were used too. Mark Robinson

We booked the lounge for the day we flew to Aruba. It was fine but very long queues for the bar. We rebooked for coming home as had to fly from Gatwick to Edinburgh. The lounge was overcrowded with hardly a seat to be had. Two hen parties were in and the bar queues were ridiculously long. Beans were dried to the pan and there was hardly a rasher of bacon left. The staff were helpful when asked but this should be checked regularly.

Food and drink were good. The staff member that I interacted with was friendly and helpful, watching my belongings whilst I got something to eat and drink. The set up was good and I really enjoyed my visit, have booked again for my next one. One down side .. I thought the floor was very messy in places, looked as if there had been a spillage of crisps and bread and it remained there for the entire time I was there. This didn’t impact my stay but would be a recommended improvement.

Would say NOT TO BOOK THROUGH HOLIDAY EXTRAS. Originally booked the Aspire lounge. Checked booking day before holiday to find lounge cancelled. Then had to rebook No 1 lounge. Why didn’t Holiday Extras just transfer the booking?

Even though we booked the lounge for three hours before the flight, we were still only able to stay for less that two hours because of boarding, the service was not great and the 'hot' food was lukewarm at best , the area where you could have yogurt and fruit was not cleaned down and there wasn't an option to use clean spoons or wipe down with a wipe. I'm not sure that I would book again as felt it was very poor value for money.

This was not a good experience. I have visited the lounge before but this time it was what can only be described as "horrendous". There was a small selection of food none of which my Partner was able to eat as there was nothing to his taste. I totally understand that you cannot cater for everyone individually but more of a choice would have been nice rather than just what I describe as foreign food. On our prior visit there was a choice of sandwiches available but not this time. The bar service was absolutely terrible. After queuing for about 20 minutes i finally reached the bar only to be told that they had run out of Coke and Beer. It was not an ideal start to the holiday. The idea of booking the lounge is to be able to relax and be stress free prior to flying but this did not happen.

The lounge is not like our last two visits. Short-staffed so long ques for the bar. Barman very abrupt Long wait for breakfast then slow to arrive. Bacon was more fat than bacon. No magazines No newspapers Will we use it again in September and December, probably not!! Very dissapointed.

Well firstly the staff in the lounge when asked if there was something wrong with the aircon informed us that if it was to hot then too move to another area of the lounge, however the lounge was very busy and a mother and child had occupied the whole of the sports lounge area to herself. I must say I have never been in a lounge with so many children running around. One of the main reasons I booked the lounge was to be away from the noise.

Lounge was very clean and airy. Good food inc a hot breakfast and fresh fruit salad and yoghurt , cereal etc all self service. Bar selection looked good although didn’t use. Did get fairly busy but enough space for everyone. People were being turned away who hadn’t booked. It was a Saturday morning. Could do with more toilets.

Food selection was not good and the quality was terrible. Only cheese and biscuits edible. The bar had run out of gin and no lager on tap and only one bottle brand and this is 13:00 and barman said lager will run out soon. Next time I’ll spend my money in weatherspoons.
