Process not quite as described. I had been advised to simply state my reservation number to enter / exit car park however I actually had to take a ticket and have it validated inside the terminal building when I returned. Was a lengthy queue as many people had to have their tickets validated too.

Everything did NOT go smoothly. On trying to exit the car park we were asked for £60. Called for help where guy told us we weren't registered for parking despite having a booking number. Operator said you had not sent through relevant info. Not good enough.

Holiday Extras went the extra mile for us this time. We arrived at the airport and found out there was a family emergency and had to go home. Things were sorted and we managed to rebook our holiday flying out a couple of days late. After a bit of discussion Holiday Extras sorted out our re-entry to the parking area at the airport. I have used Holiday Extras for years at a variety of airports and facilities are always excellent.

Long stay car park should be outside airport building for easy access as carrying heavy luggage up and over bridge is unacceptable. Also, car park should have designated markings to allow tired and weary travellers to find vehicles eg A, B, C or 1, 2, 3 etc. facilities not as described, it advised to follow signs for long stay car park no. 3 which was confusing.

Prestwick long stay is a joke there is no trolleys so i had to try and get 3 cases 2 buggys and 2 children to the terminal its a total disgrace will never use long stay again its so behind the times

The car parking was fine. Entry and exit occurred without any hassle.Only problem was the long open air walk from the middle of the car park to the walkway. A problem for the elderly or infirm. When we returned it was pouring rain and we got 'soaked' between the walkway and the car.
