What am I covered for with an Annual Cruise Policy?

If you purchase either a Silver or Gold policy you will be provided comprehensive cover for the following:

    Baggage and personal possessions - In the unfortunate event that your luggage gets lost in transit.

    Cruise itinerary change - If a scheduled port of call is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, or time table restrictions.

    Unused excursions - So you don't have to face an empty pocket if you are unable to take part in pre-paid shore activities.

    Cabin confinement - Should an illness breakout onboard or you are admitted to the ship's hospital for emergency medical treatment.

    Missed port departure - If you miss the cruise ship departing because of something unexpected, we will help towards the cost of additional travel and accommodation so you make it to your ships next port of call.†

Additional Gadget Cover for an Annual Policy

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a limit to how long my cruise can be with a Multi-Trip policy?

You can travel as many times as you like in a year with an annual cruise policy, provided that each trip does not exceed the maximum duration of 31 days per holiday.

Can I book annual cruise insurance if I have a medical condition?

Yes of course, but please ensure you answer all the medical questions accurately and declare all pre-existing medical conditions that you have to make sure you're fully covered for the journey. If you do not declare medical conditions when you're purchasing travel insurance, then your policy will be invalid.

Will I need to buy travel insurance if I'm going on a P&O cruise?

Yes, you will because P&O does not offer their own travel insurance, so you will need to take out sufficient cover whenever you book a P&O Cruise. Holiday Extras is P&O's preferred travel insurance provider!

Will I be covered for water sports with an annual cruise policy?

Yes, you will be covered for the water sports listed in your policy, whether onboard or during a shore excursion. This means you can scuba dive at your leisure, but if you're keen to enjoy more daring sports then simply contact us and we may be able to increase your level of cover with an additional activities pack for the extreme sports that you want to participate in.
