Student Travel Insurance from just *
Whether you're choosing a travel insurance policy for studying abroad, or going away for a long trip in the summer holidays, finding the right and affordable policy will make sure you safely enjoy every minute of it. We know it's not necessarily the most exciting part of booking your travels, but we all know it's an absolute must to ensure that added peace of mind.
You might be young, fighting fit and medical cover might not seem like a priority, and without focusing on the worst-case scenario — you never know what's around the corner health-wise. Then you've got to think: what about your camera full of memories? Is your phone filled with snaps, contacts and useful apps? They, of course, need protecting too; should they be lost or stolen, gadget cover means they can be replaced.
Procuring the cheapest travel insurance policy might seem tempting, but it is important to understand the level of cover you need for your travels. You may be a serious adrenaline junkie in which case, seeking additional activity cover for extreme sports might a necessary addition to your student travel insurance policy.

At Holiday Extras, we've created our travel insurance policies specifically for safe travels across the UK, Europe and worldwide. All of our policies include cancellation, missed flight and medical cover, as well as protection for over 100 sports and passport loss.
There are two types of policies (single trip and annual travel insurance) both with four levels of cover, providing both flexible and reliable choices when finding travel insurance to suit your adventure:
Single trip travel insurance
Whether you're heading overseas for a work placement, studying a term abroad or exploring with your friends. Our single trip policy provides cover for one trip of up to 365 days.
Worldwide annual travel insurance policies
You might be travelling regularly this year for study, travel or a satisfying combination of both. Providing that you make regular trips home, our annual travel insurance policy offers protection for an unlimited amount of trips across 12 months — just be sure that each trip does not exceed:
- 22 consecutive days for Bronze
- 31 days for Silver and Gold
- 45 days for Platinum
What's more is that our annual policies contain the same levels of cover as our single trip policies, so you're not losing out!
