Single trip or annual travel insurance?

If you're a frequent traveller or a Francophile at heart, then why not consider an annual travel insurance policy. On of the biggest perk of booking an annual policy is that it's a huge time saver: with one policy for 12 months, you remove the need to take out a new policy for each trip, which can be expensive and time consuming. Just remember to keep in mind the maximum trip duration of each holiday according to your chosen level of cover:

Eurostar to Paris

There's a long list of why Paris is one of the most amazing places to visit, but its location for Brits is unbeatable. Nestled right in the north west of France within such a close proximity to the UK; you can take a short flight, the ferry or even quicker, the Eurostar only takes just over 2 hours from London St. Pancras to Gare du Nord.

Bronze (22 consecutive days), Silver & Gold (31 consecutive days) and Platinum (45 consecutive days).

Medical cover

When looking at statistics of travel insurance claims, the overwhelming majority of claims made on policies is under medical cover. Getting ill or having a medical emergency abroad is never on the top of a holidaymaker's list, but unfortunately it does happen from time to time. Without the luxury of free medical care on the NHS, emergency medical care can be incredibly expensive if you travel uninsured. If you need emergency surgery, break a leg, need to be airlifted to the nearest hospital, or repatriated home, it can cost thousands of pounds without insurance — so it's important to be prepared.

We offer policies with up to £10 million worth of medical cover to accomodate any potentially expensive medical bills. If you have a pre-existing medical condition we offer a discreet, straightforward medical screening process which considers all medical conditions and offers cover for the majority of conditions.

Disneyland Paris

If you're taking your family on the trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Paris then you will need a family travel insurance policy to make sure you and your little ones are safe and sound. We offer family policies that provide cover for 1-2 adults and can insure up to 5 children.

Things to do in Paris

The Eiffel Tower

Without a doubt the most iconic landmark in France, perhaps dare we say, in the world. Fair warning, if you intend to ascend la tour Eiffel during the prime summer months, be expected to be greeted with queues. Truly astonishingly, long queues. You'll undoubtedly see the Eiffel Tower whilst you're walking along the banks of the Seine, but at Holiday Extras we think that it's at its most impressive at night, up-close and personal.

Palais Garnier

Situated in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, designed by Charles Garnier and home to the Paris Opera, the Palais Garnier is one of the most elaborately adorned buildings in France. Built in the architectural style of the Second Empire, the opera house is perhaps rivalled only by Versailles in its gilded opulence. You might feel acquainted with its famous staircases and chandelier as the direct inspiration for Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel, The Phantom of the Opera. To have a look around the magnificent building, taking in Chagall's infamous fresco on the ceiling, will set you back around €14 and is free for under 12s.
